Music video analysis - Using signifiers and signified

The signified of the video is people dressed up in animal costumes, whereas the signifiers of these are to represent the actual animals who long to reclaim their environment. The bird flying at the start is signified yet the signifier is freedom as the girl in the rabbit costume gazes at it. The cut outs of certain animal remains and diagrams (the pig ornament and the crocodile skull) are signified yet the signifier explains the difference animals have in the society to humans e.g. the environment taken over by humans. The pouring milk signifies the overuse of milking and the lack of freedom cows have as they are used solely for the production of their milk for humans.The unity at the end of the 'animals' in the forest signifies them reclaiming their natural habitat and them at peace.
