BreezeBlocks
The vision for the song is very indie yet a very dark angle (modern day witch-hunting) can be created due to the quirky feel of the song, hence a narrative would be used.
Pros:
- the change of beat of the song can create good opportunities for editing and different techniques.
- the lyrics used are very indie and quirky and therefore random clips can relate to the words sung, whilst keeping a narrative throughout.
- repetition of certain beats and the chorus also gives a great opportunity for editing techniques, but also for lip syncing
Cons:
-could be too 'random' to have a stable narrative story throughout, could have too much of a cliché narrative
-maybe to repetitive which could bore the audience
-male vocal, which could cause a problem by having to either find a male participant willing to lip sync, or to try and make the 'lip sync-er' androgynous
2)Daughter
Youth
This song can create a huge impact already with the song alone. The cliche route to take with this song would be loneliness, possibly bullying, yet we would again use a montage of clips of a happy girl, yet these clips would be memories. A narrative wouldn't work very well as it would be hard to steer from the cliche route.
Pros:
-easy to make an impact with the song as lyrics are powerful
-easy to link clips and lyrics
-woman singing, so easy to find actress
Cons:
-very steady beat so not much room to create an impact with editing techniques
-strong lyrics which could difficult to represent with impact and not cheese 'help i have done it again'
